Royal Munster Fusiliers

Dates: 1881 - 1922

The Royal Munster Fusiliers was an Irish Infantry Regiment of the British Army. It was formed in 1881 after the amalgamation of two two regiments from the former East India Company. The British Army also took control of the regiment in 1881.

The battalion served in India and during the First World War before it was dibanded in 1922 under the Anglo-Irish treaty.
