Location: 12 miles NW of Liverpool
Originally built as a night fighter station to defend Liverpool.

Airfield: Forward Airfield Night Fighter Station

Airfield Today: RAF gliding, University Air Squadron and Air Training Corps.

Tower Type: Watch Office for Night Fighter Stations 12096/41

Tower: Still in use by the RAF for Air Traffic Control. Now clad with metal sheeting, roof has solid railings, mast and new Visual Control Room .
