| HMAS Brisbane |
 Dates: 1965 - 2001 Laid down by Defoe Shipbuilding Company at Bay City, Michigan, USA. She was commissioned in 1967. She served as a plane guard for carriers, and carried out fire support missions during the Vietnam conflict. Deployed in 1990 to the Persian Gulf as part of Operation Damask, only one of two Australian warships deployed. Acted as plane guard to USS Midway in the Northern Persian Gulf. She was paid off in 2001, and sunk as a diving wreck in 2005.
