HMS Waveney

Dates: 1903 - 1920

HMS Waveney was a River class destroyer of the British Royal Navy between 1903 and 1920 until she was sold off.

She was built by Hawthorn Leslie and launched in 1903. She featured flush funnel tops, as did others of her class. She was 220 feet long displaced around 550 tons and her 7,000 HP engine produced 26 knots. She was alos equipped with sponsons.

She was armed with one twelve pounder gun which was later uprated to four. She alos carried two torpedo tubes in her stern.

She served in home waters during the Great War and was sold off in 1920.
