Laid Down :14th July 1943 at Bethlehem Steel Hingham MA Launched :2nd October 1943 Commissioned :30th January 1944 Date returned to US Navy : Not returned. It was Torpedoed on 27th April 1945 by U 1105 25 miles West off Sligo Bay. Commanding Officer Lt J R A Denne RN
