Dates: 1943 - 1946 The H.M.S GORE was a sole named Destroyer ship, which belonged to the CAPTAIN CLASS FRIGATES (first group) - Ex US GMT, class of ships. The ship had a displacement of 1190 Tons and was launched from the Boston Navy Yard, on 08/07/1943. The ship was on Lend Lease from the US Navy and was originally known as the USS HERZOG. It was returned to the US Navy on 02/05/1946.
