Dates: 1943 - 1945 The H.M.S GRINDALL was a sole named Destroyer ship, which belonged to the ’CAPTAIN CLASS FRIGATES (first group) - Ex US GMT’, class of ships. The ship had a displacement of 1190 Tons and was launched from the Boston Navy Yard, on 04/06/1943. The ship was on Lease Lend from the US Navy and was originally known as the USS SANDERS. It was returned to the US Navy on 20/08/1945.
