HMS Duckworth was a Captain class frigate of the Royal Navy. Built in Massachusetts USA, she was launched on 1 May 1943 as USS Gary. She was transferred to the Royal Navy under Lend-Lease on 4 August 1943. Pennant number K351. Complement: 186.
In October 1943, HMS Duckworth and the Canadian corvette HMCS Kamloops together picked up 54 survivors from the American merchant Yorkmar that was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-645 about 475 nautical miles south of Iceland.
HMS Duckworth was returned to the US on 17 December 1945 and scrapped in 1946.

Memorial:
On April 17, 2005 a memorial to the Captain class frigates and those that served on them was dedicated at the National Memorial Arboretum near Alrewas, Staffordshire.
