The East Lancashire Regiment was an infantry regiment of the British Army. It was formed in 1881 through the amalgamation of the 30th (Cambridgeshire) Regiment of Foot and the 59th (Second Nottinghamshire) Regiment of Foot. In the 1950s, it amalgamated again with the South Lancashire Regiment (The Prince of Wales’ Volunteers) to form the Lancashire Regiment.
