| HMS Tintagel Castle |
  Dates: 1943 - 1958 The H.M.S TINTAGEL CASTLE was a sole named Corvette ship, which belonged to the ’Castle’ class of ships. The Castle-class corvettes were an updated version of the much more numerous Flower-class corvettes of the Royal Navy, and started appearing during late 1943. They were equipped with radar as well as asdic. The ship had a displacement of 1010 Tons and was launched from the Ailsa shipyard, on 13/12/1943. The ship was sold and arrived at Troon for breaking up in June 1958.
