| HMS Walney |
  Dates: 1991 - HMS Walney (M104) is a Sandown-class minehunter of the British Royal Navy. She is the fourth of the Sandown-class minehunters, and the second ship to carry the name, which comes from the island off Barrow-in-Furness on the north-west coast of England. She was launched on 25 November 1991 and commissioned on 19 August 1992. HMS Walney has battle honours from the Atlantic in 1941-42 and Africa in 1942. The ship is affiliated to the town of Barrow-in-Furness, the casualty department at Furness General Hospital and TS Quantock Sea Cadet Corps in Ashton-under-Lyne.
