HMS Actaeon (Pennant U07)

Dates: 1945 - 1967

Six ships and a shore establishment of the Royal Navy have borne the name HMS Actaeon or HMS Acteon, after Actaeon, a figure in Greek mythology.

HMS Actaeon. U07. Modified Black Swan Class Sloop. Launched July 1945. Re-classified as Frigate 1947. Spent all service in South African waters. Transferred to German Bundesmarine Dec 1958 and re-named Hipper. Broken up 1967.
