| HMS Snipe |
 
Dates: 1897 - 1921 This small Gunboat was part of a series of sister ships built in 1897 and the smallest Royal Navy gunboats in China. MS Snipe served on the Yangtze (it is conceivable that Snipe may have later served on the West River). Snipe were sold in Hong Kong on November 20, 1919 (but Snipe is still listed in Jane’s as late as 1921).
