| HMS Tenby |
  Dates: 1955 - 1977 The H.M.S TENBY was a 2nd of the line named anti-submarine frigate ship, which belonged to the ’Whitby’ class of frigate ships. The ship had a displacement of 2150 Tons and was launched from the Cammell Laird shipyard, on 04/10/1955. The ship was sold and scrap on 15/09/1977 by Briton Ferry.

The leading rating for our class was named Strickland whom I last saw at Dartmouth College as an Officer Cadet this will have been 1968/9 When I was posted to HMS Tenby
