| HMS Bellerophon |
 Dates: 1909 - 1921 HMS Bellerophon was the lead ship of her class, built at the Royal Dockyard, Portsmouth. On commission she joined the 1st Battle Squadron, and in 1914 joined the 4th Battle Squadron. She took part in the Battle of Jutland, and fired 62 rounds whilst recieving no damage herself. After the war she was placed in Fleet Reserve until her decommissionong in 1921. Broken up in 1923.

"If you father was on HMS Bellerophon in the 1950’s then he was part of the reserve fleet.Bellerophon was tyed of the up just in front of the Royal Yatch Britaina.And we had to go through HMS Excellent to get to it.I hope this bit of usless info helps "
