1950 - A new 4 Armoured Workshop was formed under command of 11 Armoured Division in Hannover. It supported both 33 Armoured Brigade and 91 Infantry Brigade. Formed in 1941, 11 Armoured Division was famously known as the #Black Bull# after its insignia. The Division was involved in Operations Epsom and Goodwood in Normandy, the #swan# to Amiens, the liberation of Antwerp, Operation Market Garden and the Ardennes. The Division also captured areas of Northern Germany up to the Danish border including L#beck and liberated the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp on 15 April 1945.
