HMAS Stalwart

Dates: 1964 - 1990

Stalwart was laid down in 1964 at Cockatoo Docks and Engineering Company, Sydney.
launched in 1966, she was commissioned in 1968.
1974 involved in the relief operation following Cyclone Tracy.
1975 involved in the independance of Papua New Guinea.
1986 involved in the relief operation for the disaster struck Solomon Islands
1986 hosted a meeting of the Australian cabinet.
1987 precautionary deployment to Fiji.
1988 precautionary deployment to Vanuata.
Through her career she served as a destroyer tender, RAN flagship and a training vessel.
She paid off in 1990 and was sold to a Greek shipping company.
She was scrapped in 2003.
