82 Air Assault General Support Squadron provides general support to 16 Air Assault Brigade. Its tasks involve holding the Brigade’s reserves of Combat Supplies (CSups) and materiel as well as the provision of all other logistic support functions.

82 Squadron are also tasked with providing a Logisitic Rendevous at the Brigade’s rear boundary. This command and control function serves to provide total visibility of all assets and stocks as they are moved into or out of the Brigade area.

As the Squadron is charged with providing a wide range of specialised tasks, a large number of suitably trained personnel can be found within its ranks. These trades can range from driver to supply controller to petroleum operators.
