These were all sister ships built in 1897 and the smallest Royal Navy gunboats in China. HMS Robin and HMS Sandpiper served on the West River (note that there were two gunboats with the same names built later

HMS Sandpiper was built in 1897 and served on the Yangtze River. HMS Sandpiper was sold in Hong Kong on October 18, 1920.
