HMS Northella

Northella was one of 5 deepsea trawlers taken upfrom trade in 1982.They were fitted out as minesweepers and sent to the South Atantic during the Falklands war. They were the only stuft ships commissioned into the Royal Navy.They were crewed by Rosyth based minesweeper crews. HMS Northella was manned by the ships company of HMS Soberton.They were paid off on return to Rosyth at the end of hostilities.
