HMS Lochinvar

Dates: Unknown - 1921

HMS Lochinvar was a "stone frigate" (shore establishment) of the Royal Navy, sited at Port Edgar in Scotland.
HMS Lochinvar served with the 3rd Destroyer Flotilla on completion and transferred to escort duties after 1917. Sold for breaking in November 1921.
Lochinvar was the home of Minesweeping operations throughout the Second World War and finally shut her Port Edgar doors in 1975, as the Sweeper Squadrons and Fishery Protection Squadrons moved across the water to Rosyth Naval Base.
