The H.M.S LLANDAFF was a sole named Frigate ship, which belonged to the ’Salisbury’ class of ships.
The Salisbury class Frigates were built on the same hull as the Type 41, but were more valuable to the Royal navy as it had an updated early air warning radar.
The ship had a displacement of 2100 Tons and was launched from the Hawthorn Leslie shipyard, on 30/11/1955.
The ship was sold to Bangladesh on 10/12/1976 and Re-named UMAR FAROOQ it was later deleted in 1998.
