| HMS Euryalus |
  Dates: 1939 - 1959 "DIDO" Class cruiser ordered under the 1936 Build Programme from HM Dockyard Chatham on 21st March 1937. The ship was laid down on 21st October 1937 and launched on 6th June 1939 as the fifth R N warship to carry this name which dates from 1803. Build was completed in June 1941 and this cruiser was ’adopted’ by the civil community of Windsor Rural District, Berkshire in March 1942 after a successful ’WARSHIP WEEK’ National Savings campaign. Badge: On a Field Blue,:the head and shoulders of a Greek warrior gold.
